Health disparities present special challenges to health education. Disparities within the environment, such as targeted communications and advertising of tobacco, may exacerbate disparities. The panelists in this session will describe various situations in which inequality plays a role and will discuss programs attempting to address these issues. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to describe health issues and environmental factors that disproportionately impact certain populations and identify strategies to address these issues and inequalities, in accordance with the learning objectives of the individual presentations. | |||
