| A panel of speakers invited by the Caucus on Refugee and Immigrant Health will present an overview of the current policy environment concerning refugee and immigrant health and health care access. Speakers will discuss the background and impact of policies that emerged in the 1990s, and explain current initiatives that, if implemented, may change substantially U.S. policies affecting refugees and immigrants. | |||
| Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1.List 3 special health risks experienced by refugee and immigrant populations. 2. Describe current policies of the United States government that affect health and health care access for refugee and immigrant populations. 3. Evaluate the potential impact of current policy initiatives pertaining to refugee and health. | |||
