This session will include papers that present a wide variety of issues around adolescent health. Together with the other sessions about adolescent health sponsored by the section there is a comprehensive examination of the science and innovative responses addressing the needs of adolescents. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the completion of this session, participants will be able to: 1. Describe how media stereotyping interferes with understanding and addressing health needs of adolescents. 2. Describe communication and support systems that promote healthy adolescence. 3. Describe the similarities and differences in the issues among US adolescents and those born in third world countries. | |||
