Teaching Public Health to the Health Care Professions (organized jointly by VC, CHC, PHC)
Teaching public health to current and future health care professionals will continue to grow in importance in the upcoming years. Through the development and implementation of public health programs by health care professionals, there can be a significant impact on the overall health of the nation. Innovative teaching programs will be discussed in this session.
Learning Objectives: Following this session, the attendee will be able to: 1. Articulate the importantance in educating professionals about public health, 2. Understand the difficult issues in incorporating public health into clinical practice, and 3. Recognize the challenges and opportunities facing health care professionals in the area of public health.
