| |||
The purpose of this panel session is to examine how different aspects of the larger health care policy and financing environment affect the CARE Act (e.g., state fiscal crises, Medicaid and Medicare reform) while, at the same time, the CARE Act programs seek to address the challenges associated with assuring quality care for what is becoming a chronic disease. It is hoped that at the end of this panel attendees will have a much better understanding of the interconnectedness of these programs and policy issues, which pose both opportunities and challenges in the context of CARE Act reauthorization decision making. | |||
