Environment Section Homer N. Calver Lecture
The annual Homer N Calver Lecture involves a presentation from a recognized national leader from the field of Environmental Health. The focus of the lecture covers late-breaking, cutting-edge, and sometimes controversial themes in the environmental health arena. The Lecturer often is selected from government, academia, practice, industry, and private/non-profit disciplines. The lecture is preceded with introductory remarks from the Awards Committee Chair and the Chairperson of the Environment Section. Announcements concerning Environment Section activities are provided along with awards and other forms of recognition.
Learning Objectives: 1) To understand late-breaking and timely issues in Environmental Health 2) To learn about the particulars of the environmental item 3) To develop a better understanding of the important and close relationship between environment and health 4) To foster improved professional relationships among professionals working in environmental health.
