Panel Discussion | |||
| |||
This panel brings together four speakers from different organizations who together provide a comprehensive perspective on funding trends for international health programs and activities. Duff Gillespie will provide an overview of funding in international health, providing a historical perspective along with key opportunities and challenges in the current situation. Anne Peterson will provide a bilateral perspective, including how a key player in a major donor government has acclimated to significant changes in roles and responsibilities among different government agencies. Jacqueline Darroch will bring a foundation perspective on international health funding, drawing on the Gates Foundation experience and showing the extent to which foundations can pioneer new approaches and influence the level and direction of activity. Med Bouzidi, who has spent decades helping secure funds for IPPF, the world's largest family planning and reproductive health non-governmental organization, can speak from the perspective of a partner accessing funds from the range of donors, including bilateral and multilateral agencies, other NGOs and foundations. | |||
