Evaluation for Día was conducted by assessing inter-organizational impact, participant satisfaction and post event health behavior changes. Additional outcomes were provided by clinical providers.

Inter-organizational evaluation tool was adapted from the Pennsylvania Comprehensive Cancer Control to assess the partnering value of the event. Results reveal that 35% of respondents strongly agreed that Día was helpful to their organization. Respondents provided helpful input as to how the event could be improved. Presenters will share critical feedback from participants and partners that will impact future program design.

Twenty-two percent of the 275 attendees completed a bi-lingual survey on the day of the event. 72% of the respondents indicated that Spanish was their primary language. Forty-eight percent were seeking information/screening for diabetes and nutrition; 44% for high blood pressure, 41% cancer. High rates of screening, demonstrated high engagement by participants. Clinic outcome data revealed that 57% obtained blood sugar screenings, 62% were screened for high blood pressure, and 25% obtained oral health screenings and 23% for mammography.

Of particular importance to event planners was the extent to which participants would act on their new knowledge and change their health behavior. Each participant who completed a day of event survey was asked to volunteers for a post event survey. 30 individuals consented to a post event telephone survey. A bilingual health educator administered all of the surveys. 63% completed the survey, 58% of these stated that they have made modifications to their health habits. These changes will be further detailed during the presentation.
