Glen Andersen, MSPH, National Conference of State Legislatures, 7700 East First Place, Denver, CO 80230, 303-856-1341, glen.andersen@ncsl.org

Legislative activity is often a good barometer of public sentiment. Gauging from the amount of state policy action on environmental health issues, the public is becoming more interested and concerned. From air quality to asthma and from mold to mercury; this session explores the trends and challenges facing state legislatures when it comes to protecting the public from environmental threats.
