Playing Industrial Hygiene to Win

Industrial Hygiene standards have often been used as the rationale for not implementing control methods for workplace health hazards. Most IH samples do not detect "overexposures" resulting in a 'clean bill of health". This often discounts worker concerns about serious health risks from potential exposures.This presentation will question current technology of assessing occupational health hazards and discuss alternative means to evaluate worksite health hazards.Alternative approaches can better protect,educate and empower workers and management to improve workplace conditions.
