Aims: To survey Alcohol Use Disorders among Korean college students and find out the factors of the disorder. Design and Samples: The cross-sectional study was at 60 four-year colleges in 9 provinces and Seoul. The schools and students selected for the study provide a nationally representative sample. This campus survey had been completed from May 15th to June 14th 2003. We analyzed 2,385 cases and the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) was used for the analysis. Results: There are 42.3% students who are having the Alcohol Use Disorder. The probability of the Alcohol Use Disorder among male students is 1.30 times higher than among female students. The students who are living without parents or relatives are 1.40 times, the students who have a problem drinking father are 1.38 times, who were allowed to take binge drinking by their parents while they were growing up are 1.54 times, who are attending in general university are 1.60 times, who are joining with student club are 1.36 times, who got the under B score of average credit are 1.41 times, who are unsatisfying with the education are 1.27 times, who had the drugs experience are 2.84 times, who are smoking are 1.95 times, who had the experience of binge drinking when they were in the last year of the high school are 2.84 times, and who had the experience of taking the mixed alcohol forcefully are 1.76 times more likely to have the Alcohol Use Disorder than otherwise.
