Laura Donahue, Drug Prevention Resources, Inc., 1200 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 1500, Irving, TX 75038, 9725181821, ldonahue@dpri.com

This presentation will discuss the efforts of the Grand Prairie Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (GPMCA) community coalition to address the problem of illegal sales to underage youth. Using the Superbowl as a kickoff to discuss the issue of community alcohol problems with local alcohol retailers. THe coalition provided retailers with resources, educated them about the benefits of Server Training, and presented a Community Pledge for them to sign. Efforts also included collaboration with the local law enforcement and local media to ensure effective compliance and raise community awareness.
