Patricia B. Crawford, DrPH, RD, Department of Nutritional Sciences and Center for Weight and Health, University of California, Berkeley, 9 Morgan Hall, University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley, CA 94720-3104, 510-642-5572, crawford@socrates.berkeley.edu

Sixteen secondary schools in California implemented nutrition standards for competitive foods and beverages. For 21 months, data was collected including revenue and expense figures. 81% of schools increased their food service revenues after implementing the new standards. Key contributors to increased revenues and successful school nutrition policy changes will be discussed.
