Overview of issue and federal perspective, when nurses are federalized including noting the federal tort claims Act coverage against liability

An overview of the issues on the Scope of Nursing Practice and the role of public health nursing when responding to population-impacting emergencies and disasters. Issues include licensure and authority to practice in an expanded role; liability coverage; and, workers' compensation for the nurse when nurses are federalized during a response to a large-scale emergency/disaster.
