Many sessions sponsored by the Caucus on Refugee and Immigrant Health describe the special health risks and needs experienced by refugee and immigrant populations, and the social, cultural and institutional barriers that limit these populations’ access to health education and health care. This session will be devoted to presentations that describe innovative, evidence-based programs and policies to overcome barriers and address needs. Speakers will discuss the special concerns that led to the development of particular programs, as well as criteria for evaluating the success of interventions. | |||
