Policy on Immigrant Health: Reviewing the Evidence
This session will address an overview of the current policy environment concerning refugee and immigrant health and health care access. Speakers will explain the background and context of policies related to immigrant health, and discuss evidence of how these policies are influencing services and impacting health.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) will be able to: 1. understand policy impacts of welfare reform; 2. describe policy interventions to increase health coverage of unauthorized immigrants; 3. learn how to translate research into policy.
