Intimate Partner Violence: A Pervasive Threat to Women's Health
Intimate partner violence is a pervasive threat to the health of women living around the world. This poster session will demonstrate current work being conducted in the field as well as future directions.
Learning Objectives: By the end of the session, the participant will be able to (1) discuss the psychological, emotional, and physical health implications of intimate partner violence; (2) describe the role of settings (i.e., emergency rooms, immigrant populations, countries other than the U.S.) on prevention, identification, and treatment of intimate partner violence; (3) recognize the diversity of women who are effected by intimate partner violence; and (4) develop strategies for ending intimate partner violence.
