Designing Effective Health Education
Serious chronic diseases present many important challenges to health education, and interventions addressing these diseases require careful planning. The speakers in this session will describe programs addressing lupus and studies of patient behaviors related to cancer screening and information-seeking. Presentations will discuss specific programs and their implications for health education and health promotion.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify factors of successful public-private partnership for health promotion;
  2. Describe information-seeking and screening behaviors related to cancer; and
  3. Discuss aspects of effective programming for lupus intervention.
