This session will examine issues relating to the support of the healthcare safety net. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to 1. Understand the challenges health care institutions face in desseminating accurate and complete information to large groups of people via call centers 2. Describe the effects of the recent economic downturn on the financial situation of safety net hospitals and on their clients. 3. Create awareness of the potential of rural hospital and rural community health center collaboration. 4. Gain knowledge concerning an online database of community health worker (CHW) programs and their evaluation. | |||
