This session will provide participants the opportunity to better understand the importance of community participation in shaping and directing policy, and will discuss CBPR strategies to collaboratively advocate for change at local, state, and federal levels. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant will be able to: 1. Articulate the value of public input into policymaking; 2. Describe a model for community-based policymaking; and 3. Translate community-based participatory research into advocacy planning and action strategies. | |||
