Bioterrorism is an integral part of public health. As part of a fundamental obligation to the public, bioterrorism programs, policies, laws, and interventions must be considered and analyzed for ethical implications and issues. This session aims to consider the competing factors of bioterrorism, such as limitations, ideological and moral foundations, and relevant quantitative and qualitative means for determining the relationship between bioterrorism, ethics, and public health. Abstracts for joint presentations/sponsorship with other sections, such as health law, public health, or health care administration are welcome.
Learning Objectives: 1. Identify and analyze contemporary problems and solutions involving bioterrorism and ethics. 2. Discuss ethical impact of bioterrorism interventions and programs. 3. Provide relevant background and substantive information relating to bioterrorism and ethics.
