Progress in Spinal Pain
This session includes reports from prospective studies of chiropractic care for patients with neck or back pain. The design and implementation of these studies should promote healthy discussion of the strengths and limitations of current research efforts in chiropractic health care.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, the participant will be able to:
  • Describe the study design and population of four prospective studies in chiropractic that evaluate outcomes for patients with back or neck pain.
  • Identify the strengths and limitations of these studies.
  • Appreciate the importance of an established patient base for outcomes research.
