Genomics Applications in Public Health Across All Populations, Environmental, and Work Settings
Partnership:INTERNATIONAL HEALTH
Statement of Purpose and Institute Overview:
Genomics science has the potential to revolutionize public health as we move into the 21st century. As a result of the many milestones accomplised in sequencing the human genome, public health career will become the pre-emminent discipline in neonatal screening for genetic, chronic and degenerative diseases. Genomics will play monumental role in environmental health in enabling scientists to identify microbial agents to sequester carbon dioxide gas which is the predominant greenhouse gas. This innovative science will enhance the physical and cognitive development of children.
