The focus of this session is on strategies to promote folic acid consumption to reduce birth defects of the brain and spinal cord. Speakers will describe interventions including multivitamin distribution and health education, as well as messages targeting health care providers. While these presentations focus on the issue of folic acid intake, the strategies and lessons learned have broad implications for health education and health promotion across various health issues. | |||
