Health promotion and health education programs addressing adolescents and young adults face particular challenges, both in terms of effectively reaching the target audience and in terms of health risks to be addressed. Presentations in this session will discuss these challenges through the examples of projects dealing with youth gangs, adolescent sexual behavior and tobacco use. Specific methods for evaluating the success of programs and development of a research model will be discussed, along with their implications for health promotion practice. | |||
