APHA Film Festival: International Health Session 1 - The Threat of Water Privatization
In this session, the documentary film Thirst, by Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman (2004; 56 min.), will be screened. This film offers a chilling look at the commodification of water sources globally, and the impact on local communities. Followed by Q&A moderated by the International Health Section.
Learning Objectives: As a result of attending, participants will have increased knowledge of the topics raised in the films; and will understand the vital role that film and video can play in addressing public health and international health issues.
