Evidence Based Practice And Intervention
Evidenced based practice will ultimately serve to guide the field and inform practioners in public health social work as we move into the 21st. This session focuses on health, mental health and substance abuse interventions that include assessment, culturally appropriate services and social support networks.
Learning Objectives: Session participants will be able to: discuss the implications for reducing depression and enhancing psychosocial competence for Black women; understand how older adults perceive the seriousness and severity of mental health and substance abuse issues; to articulate the rational for using GIS as an environmental needs assessment tool.
