Evidence Based Alternative and Complementary Health Practices and Policies
This session introduces policies and procedures in alternative and complementary health practices and research. The need to incorporate economic research, policies and procedures in patient recruitment in CAM clinical trials, and other CAM related policies and procedures will be discussed in this session.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Explore the opportunity to consider integrating economic research into CAM practice and research 2. Define the process for creating a patient recruitment plan for a clinical trial 3. Identify the determinants of successful introduction of CAM project in health care 4. Identify areas of opportunity for offering CAM services in rural hospitals
