This panel is a multi-faceted exposition of the Implementing Best Practices Initiative (IBPI), a global collaborative effort by WHO and USAID to facilitate and accelerate the uptake of evidence-based practices into reproductive health service delivery programs. Individual presentations included in this panel will provide an overview of the IBPI and examples of IBPI-related activities by member agencies. Examples include development and use of an electronic communication system, experience with a multi-sectoral strategy development process, use of a performance improvement process to improve facility level services, and a collaborative process for introducing a contraceptive method. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session participants will know the structure, goals, objectives and selected mechanisms of action of a global consortium effort to improve best practices in reproductive health. | |||
