The cultural, socio-economical, biological, and psychological issues that affect the health of immigrant and minority female populations will be discussed in this session. Also, obstacles that public health nurses face when serving immigrant and minority female populations will be examined. | |||
Learning Objectives: 1. Identify health disparities present in racial and ethnic female populations. 2. Describe the role of public health nurses in optimizing health outcomes of minority female populations. 3. Discuss strategies to recruit and retain minority females in research studies. | |||
