Alternative and Complementary Health Practices

Submit Abstract

The SPIG invites abstracts on topics related to public health aspects of alternative and complementary health practices. Papers related to the 2006 Annual Meeting theme, “Public Health and Human Rights,” are particularly welcome. Papers from various perspectives are strongly encouraged, including clinical applications and evidence, research trends, educational programs, prevalence and attitudes, impacts on public health, health risks and benefits, economic factors, and related policies.

    Abstracts are judged on clarity of presentation, originality, methodology and contribution to the field. Highest rated abstracts, based on blinded peer review, are generally selected and placed in sessions according to the overall program plan for that year. Abstracts may be submitted as a group. However, they will be reviewed individually and will be placed in sessions, if accepted, according to the discretion of the Program Chair.
