Chiropractic is a health care benefit for active duty service members in the Unites States (US). This benefit program has expanded greatly since its initial offering 11 years ago and is available at 42 military facilities. However, few details are known about chiropractic services in the US military healthcare services program; there are no published peer-reviewed qualitative or quantitative descriptions of these chiropractic practices. This project presents a practice profile of one Department of Defense (DoD) chiropractic clinic. Qualitative information, such as interactions with other health care providers, expectations and nuances of military culture, procedures employed, interaction between DoD chiropractors, research capacity, the unique patient population, and training will be discussed. Quantitative data, such as access to care, credentialing, staffing, practice volume, billing, and other information will be presented.
