Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this Public Health Institute, participants will be able to

· Incorporate a brief screening question into their daily practice
· Engage clients in motivational conversation, assess readiness to change, elicit sources of resilience
· Develop an action plan based on the client’s self-identified priorities that incorporates strategies to overcome potential barriers to change
· Identify the systems changes that are necessary to support SBIRT program in either a public health or clinical setting.
