Comparison of recommendations from different WHCOA events: Implications for shaping a future research agenda and strengthening cross-network ties in aging and disability"

This presentation will provide a comparative analysis of the resolutions and recommendations resulting from the main WHCOA and several of the WHCOA mini-conferences that led up to it. The focus of this analysis will be on identifying the similarities and differences in resulting resolutions and recommendations and describing their impact on future research directions in aging, disability and public health. Emphasis will be given to actions that are necessary for strengthening cross-network collaborations between aging and disability leaders and actions necessary to support changes in policy and practice aimed at improving the lives and life changes of the growing segment of the population aging with long-term disabilities.
