I am attending as part of a panel on Agent Orange and other herbicides and their effects in Vietnam. I will be offering some comments on the early history of this subject.

Learning Objectives:

• Historical events leading up to the Vietnam war will be reviewed.
• Historical events leading up to the current Iraq war will be reviewed.
• Representation of facts by the US Administration prior to the Vietnam war will be presented.
• Representation of facts by the US Administration prior to the Iraq war will be presented.
• Solutions to the problems of each war will be reviewed.
