Israel's military occupation of the West Bank, and its encirclement and isolation of the Gaza Strip, has substantially degraded living conditions for the 3.2 million civilians living in these areas. Restriction of movement creates problems with access to health care, public health planning, nutritional status, economic activity, and education at all levels. The Health and Human Rights Project of Jewish Voice for Peace aims to assist Palestinian civil society by providing personnel and material aid, and by documenting and reporting on conditions within the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Findings of the October 2006 delegation will be presented.
