Veterans' Health: Dual Use, Aging, and Gender Specific Care
Learning Objectives: 1. Understand the variation of functional limitation in veterans in different age groups; 2. Assess the impact of concurrent eligibility for multiple sources of government-reimbursed health care services on survivorship for colorectal cancer patients; 3. List at least two differences in smoking habits and smoking cessation rates between male and female veterans that are suggestive of the need to tailor a smoking cessation program specifically to women veterans; 4. Describe the roles of two federal healthcare providers (the VHA and the IHS) in providing medical and mental health care to a shared target population of American Indian and Alaska Native veterans.
