This session will focus on evidence based policy and practice. Specific presentation will cover the following topics: estimating the effect of asthma case management, controlling imported measles in the US, and assessing progress towards meeting the Health People 2010 measureable goals. One presentation will discuss how to transform epidemiologic data into community action to affect health. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Evaluate methods used in evaluation of public health programs 2. Understand the definitions of quarantine and isolation and be able to discuss the evidence-based application of each 3. Describe an effective model for translating data into community action to affect maternal and infant health 4. Recognize the benefits of integrating subjective and objective data in assessing progress towards Health People 2010 goals | |||
