This interesting session will focus on gender-specific cancer epidemiology. These cancers will breast cancer in women, prostate cancer, and ovarian cancer. In addition, there will be a presentation about health behaviors in women with and without a history of cancer. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Understand which modifiable behaviors or beliefs could reduce present cancer burden in women 2. Describe the method of transgeographic anomalous community analysis 3. Understand the importance of breast cancer screening 4. Describe the relationship between metabolic syndrome and prostate cancer in men 5. Discuss and compare the current self-reported follow-up practices of gynecologists managing patients after initial treatment for Stage I ovarian cancer | |||
