The School Health Services and Food and Nutrition Sections jointly present abstracts that highlight excellence in the development of policies to prevent childhood obesity in the United States. Childhood obesity is high and rising, putting US children at increased risk of nutrition-related disease and disability. Wellness policies have been developed by local school districts to improve school nutrition environments. Model local efforts will be highlights as well as legal approaches to policy development. | |||
