Learning Objectives: 1. Describe the consequences of prevalent and incident (secondary) health conditions for community dwelling adults in the U.S. with mobility limitations. 2. Identify predictors of substance abuse treatment access, dropout, initiation and engagement among Medicaid beneficiaries with mental retardation across the lifespan. 3. Describe some of the consequences of prevalent and incident (secondary) health conditions for community dwelling adults in the U.S. with mobility limitations compared to those with other limitations and without limitations and indicate the importance of these findings for public health. 4. Discuss the physical activity behaviors of adults with an intellectual disability in relation to health promotion.
