Farm and animal workers are at risk of injury and disease due occupational insults. Enhanced understanding of the work and environment of these workers will aid in developing better occupational health and safety programs. Key risk communications approaches can be developed and used to minimize related disease, disability and deaths. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. List five disease and/or injury risks that farm and animal workers face. 2. Articulate procedures for preventing farm and animal related diseases and injuries. 3. Describe better methods of risk communicating for animal and farm workers. | |||
