The Healthcare Cost & Utilization Project (HCUP) Comp Breakfast & Presentation
The Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) is a family of databases, software tools, and products that enable health services research and policy analysis focusing on hospital, ambulatory surgery and emergency department encounters. Sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, HCUP captures information on 90 percent of all hospital stays in the U.S., and is the largest collection of longitudinal, all-payer, encounter-level data available. You are invited to learn more about HCUP databases and products at an educational session on Tuesday, Nov. 7 during APHA’s 2006 Annual Meeting in Boston. HCUP will host a special complimentary breakfast presentation in conjunction with APHA’s Office of Continuing Education. Breakfast will be served at 6:30 a.m., and the presentation will be from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. in room 258A of the Convention Center. All Annual Meeting attendees are invited to attend and reservations are required. To register for this complimentary HCUP program, e-mail your name, affiliation and contact number to Annette Ferebee at annette.ferebee@apha.org.
