This session includes presentations on reproductive issues relevant to the pregnancy continuum: a prenatal issue on maternal mortgage; pregnancy topics related to gestational diabetes and oral health care; and postnatal issues on breastfeeding intentions and mothers with HIV/AIDS. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) will be able to: 1. Identify challenges in planning effective interventions for health risks that "disappear".; 2. Identify factors related to attitudes toward breastfeeding among university students.; 3. Discuss the link between oral health and birth outcomes.; 4. Construct a graphical representation of the social, economical, environmental, nutritional, and educational conditions that impact life of a female and that of her offspring's quality of life.; and 5. Describe the programmatic approaches indicated for parents living with HIV/AIDS. | |||
