HIV/AIDS Issues among Focused Populations
Successful programs and interventions around HIV and AIDS often require a narrow focus on a well-defined population. This poster session will provide insight into research and programming targeted to particular at-risk populations in such sites as the military, the offices of health care providers, and rural settings.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Identify 4 sub-populations in need of targeted HIV/AIDS programming. 2. Recognize 3 barriers specific to vulnerable population groups. 3. Evaluate successes and challenges of targeted interventions in multiple settings.
