This session provides an overview of work being conducted by emerging scholars in the field of HIV. It includes an overview of innovative and important work in HIV prevention and HIV care both in the U.S. and abroad. This session is particularly important as it provides a look into the perspectives of a new generation of researchers who have lived most of their lives in the shadow of HIV/AIDS. | |||
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to: 1. Describe the current HIV-related research trends of the next generation of HIV-focused scholars. 2. Describe the unique methodological and conceptual perspectives of emerging scholars. 3. Identify 5 critical HIV-related issues receiving priority attention by public health students. | |||
