HIV/AIDS Among Latino and Hispanic Communities In The U.S
Latino communities are exhibiting increased HIV prevalence and incidence. However, there are unique challenges to working with Latino communities, due to the wide diversity in culture, language, and the possible barriers presented by varying citizenship status. This poster session will demonstrate research done with multiple populations within these communities.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Recognize 3 barriers to accessing HIV/AIDS care for Latino communities. 2. Evaluate research findings regarding 5 different Latino populations. 3. Analyze 4 interventions specifically targeted to Latino communities.
