Understanding HIV/AIDS Medication Adherence
Adherence to HIV/AIDS medications is imperative to ensuring the longevity and quality of life of HIV-positive individuals and communities. Given the difficulties inherent in HIV/AIDS medications, maintaining consistent adherence to a treatment regimen is arduous. This session will focus on the determinants of adherence in multiple populations.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Identify 3 determinants to HIV/AIDS medication adherence. 2. Recognize 3 strategies for supporting medication adherence among HIV-positive communities.
