The use of technology is gaining continuing favor in health education and health promotion programs. The speakers in this session will describe programs designed to use technological tools in imparting health information, garnering behavioral data, and/or understanding health perceptions. The session includes discussions of web-based activities and the use of photos in health education. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) in this session will be able to: 1. Discuss the use of technology in developing educational and referral resources. 2. Discuss alternative methods to addressing cultural barriers to quality health care. 3. Describe the use of photography in addressing health issues in two minority populations. | |||
