Health promotion and education campaigns designed to provide information about cancer prevention and control contain important information, but if they are not designed appropriately for the audiences they address, they will fail. The panelists in this session will describe several different programs for particular communities, and the challenges and lessons learned from these programs. Speakers will highlight issues in communication with hearing-impaired women, African-American women, residents of South Texas, and college/university employees. The session will also include discussion of the NCI Small Grants Program for Behavioral Research in Cancer Control. | |||

List the barriers and enabling factors of cancer screening and treatment in diverse populations. 3.
